See All ReviewsOne of the worst Indian Resturants I have been to in Boston. Good things first, the ambiance was nice n pretty. There was live singer performing, she was good as well. The tandoori wings with the green chutney were incredible. Worst service I have ever received, we had to ask multiple times for water, the cheque. And it wasn't even busy, there were barely 3 tables occupied but the servers were just not paying attention to any tables. We ordered lamb shank masala, hyderabadi murgh dum biryani and malai kofta. Everything was extremely underwhelming. The biryani was literally pulao with no biryani masala. And we asked it to be made spicy but it wasn't. And why did they call it hyderabadi biryani when it didn't even come close to how it should be. Never going back here again. I don't get why it is rated so high?! And it is extremely expensive for the entire experience.
Honestly it’s hard to find authentic Indian restaurants outside of India. Crystal spoons does a very good job of brining the home flavors on the plate. It’s definitely on higher end but totally worth it. The menu is well curated. We ordered lamb shank curry, chicken tikka masala and goan shrimp curry. All were really tasty but goan shrimp curry was a stand out. Chef did a great job. We will definitely visit again!
I’ll give this 5 stars. Because the atmosphere is amazing. And the food is even more incredible. (I’ll get to that in a moment). However it did take them a while to get to us to order drinks. And it was a pretty empty restaurant.. besides that. The waiter had great knowledge on what had dairy in what dish (I have an allergy) and was able to give me recommendations. I tried the chicken lollipop and samosas to try. All I’ve ever had were samosas before. And these were crunchy and flavorful. Loved the chicken lollipops (don’t be scared it’s not that spicy). Amazing fried chicken. Good flavor and juicy. Then I had the best dish I’ve ever had in Boston (I wanted to make noises at the table - not sorry). The chicken chettinad was by far the best dish I’ve ever had. It was SO delicious. Birthday worthy restaurant. Girls night out. Date night. Whatever it is. This is a must try place!
